iPhoto, photos for member profile

If you use iPhoto to manage your photos, it's easy to create a picture suitable for use with your online profile on this web site.

1) Choose the photo you want in iPhoto.
(You probably already know that iPhoto allows you to crop, brighten, and adjust the photo to your liking. If you want to adjust the photo, do so before step 2).

2) Choose File -> Export, and in the "Format" pop-up menu, choose "JPG".

3) In the "Size" area, choose "Scale images no larger than", and enter 100 into the width field.

4) Click "Export", and save the file to somewhere you can find it again (Desktop is a good choice).

You just created a photo that is web-ready and sized correctly for an AAPH profile/referral page! Now, to upload the photo into your profile, follow these steps:

1) Log into the AAPH site.

2) In the left-panel, click "my account", then click the "edit" tab.

3) Find the section called "Picture" and "Upload Picture". Click "Choose file" and locate the image you just saved from iPhoto.

4) Click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page to upload and save your photo.

Your photo will show in your profile detail page as well as your Office Page (a feature coming in Jan 2008).

More Info

You can replace your picture anytime by following the same process. You can also delete your picture by going into "my account" and clicking the edit tab.

IMPORTANT: once you check the "delete" checkbox when deleting a picture, click the SUBMIT button at the bottom of the page, not the "delete" button... the "delete" button will remove your entire profile. If you do accidentally delete your entire profile, you can simply re-enter all the information using the "my account" and "edit" tab.
