Should I be blogging or have a blog?

Blogging is a great way to establish a credible, professional and in-depth presence on the Internet that:

- ranks high in search engine results;
- builds new relationships with potential new clients 24 x 7;
- adds ongoing reference and connections with your current clients;
- creates a professional image for you as an industry leader;
- generates content for future books, materials and presentations you can publish;
- attracts editors and publishers, as well as interviewers and other opportunities; and
- keeps you thinking about the industry and writing about what you know best.

What's more, blogging is free. Whether you decide to use AAPH's free professional blogging program or you decide to use a blogging platform like Blogger (now owned by Google), Word Press or the social network of your choice (like maybe Gaia), professional blogging is a very good thing to be doing.
